The Green Forest Gallery 2022 Season Opening. Photography and poetry exhibit by Ian North, poetry readings with special guests.

The Green Forest Gallery is located in Vankoughnet, deep in the forests of Bracebridge, Muskoka, Ontario. We are launching our second season with a new gallery exhibit featuring the black and white photography and poetry of singer songwriter, Ian North. The gallery will be open to visitors on Saturday April 23rd from 12-8pm, RSVP is required and admission is PWYC. Gallery donations are accepted and appreciated. Suggested donation $10 per person. We will host poetry readings and musical performances by Ian North, J. Claveau and special guests Twintwa and Forest Her Dress around the fire from 6-8pm. Food and refreshments will be served, catering by the Oven Woodfired Pizza. If you have any questions, please contact J. Claveau by email jen@greenforestgallery.ca RSVP's are required by Thursday April 21st. Limited space is available and we anticipate full attendance. Once you confirm your reservation, you will receive further instructions, directions and exact location of the events. If you need to cancel after registration, please contact J. Claveau so that others may attend in your absence. This event is both indoors and outdoors, so please dress for the weather and bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. If end of April weather is extreme, we reserve the right to postpone and reschedule for the first weekend in May. We look forward to welcoming you to the forest!

“★★★★ TWIN Sharing Secrets With Strangers EP (2-ply collective) This five-song EP from TWIN — the river-rambling alt-folk project of Dave Fort — is stripped-down but it’s anything but

slight. The first two tracks — The Inevitable and Prairie Loon — are folk-noir tunes with a preoccupation

with death, but TWIN delivers this heavy material with incredible buoyancy; Fort’s spirited refrain "I’m gonna live till I die" is nothing

short of anthemic. This is one of those uncluttered, quietly affecting that delivers a serious emotional

wallop — the haunting Unspoken with its propulsive build is a definite

highlight — and deserves your undivided attention.”

- Jen Zoratti, Uptown Winnipeg.
